Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Tarek Ali, President of Beni Suef University, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hamada Mohamed, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Dr. Shahira Fawzi El-Menshawy, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy; and with the supervision and follow-up of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Farouk Elias, General Coordinator and Advisor of “Students for Egypt” Family at Beni Suef University; Dr. Dina Amin, Student Activities Coordinator at the Faculty of Pharmacy; and International Referee Captain Mohamed Farouk, Director General of Youth Welfare at the University:
Student Serag Bahaa Saleh, a Pharmacy student and representative of “Students for Egypt” Family at Beni Suef University, participated in the Egyptian Universities and Ministry of Higher Education Forum held at Al-Azhar University.
Serag Bahaa expressed his pride in participating in the forum, emphasizing that the “Students for Egypt” Family is not merely a name, but a national entity based on hard work and dedication to serving Homeland.
Prof. Dr. Ahmed Farouk Elias also extended his appreciation for the student’s distinguished participation and representation of both the Family and the University, affirming that the Family continuously works on preparing qualified and aware student leaders capable of serving the nation and contributing effectively to its development.
The forum activities included:
Day One: The delegation was received, followed by a lecture titled “Media Presence Tools,” delivered by Dr. Mohannad El-Sadat, a presenter at Al-Nas Channel. The day concluded with an evening gathering filled with enthusiasm and engagement.
Day Two: Activities began with the flag salute, followed by a visit to the Council of Al-Azhar University, where participants met Prof. Dr. Dawoud Salama, President of Al-Azhar University, along with vice presidents and university leaders. Discussions focused on the role of youth in nation-building and enhancing awareness. Several important lectures were delivered by distinguished speakers, including Prof. Dr. Mostafa Abdel Nabi, Prof. Dr. Sayed Bakry, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Sedeek, Prof. Dr. Alaa Ganeb, Prof. Dr. Karim Hammam, Prof. Dr. Amr Mostafa, and Dr. Sameh Sheraky. The day concluded with interactive discussion groups where participants exchanged ideas on leadership and self-development.
Day Three: The delegation visited Al-Azhar Headquarters and the Al-Azhar Global Center for Electronic Fatwa. The visit began with a lecture by His Eminence Prof. Dr. Nazir Ayyad, Grand Mufti of Egypt, titled “Atheism and Confronting Thought,” during which he also engaged with students’ questions and encouraged strengthening national awareness. A meeting was also held with Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Rahman El-Duwaini, Deputy of Al-Azhar, who emphasized the importance of youth in supporting Al-Azhar’s mission of promoting moderation and national belonging. The delegation was introduced to the efforts of the Observatory under the patronage of His Eminence Prof. Dr. Ahmed El-Tayeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar. Dr. Reham Salama presented an overview of the Observatory’s departments, and the visit concluded with a lecture by Dr. Wissam Hashad on Al-Azhar’s efforts in raising awareness about the Palestinian cause.
Conclusion: The forum concluded with a lecture titled “Pencil” delivered by Dr. Ahmed Keshk, Director of Student Welfare, addressing themes of determination, willpower, and creating change. At the closing ceremony, the forum administration extended appreciation to all participating university delegations and awarded certificates of recognition in acknowledgment of their active and distinguished participation.
